A woman was injured when a second-story deck collapsed during her 80th birthday party in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The 20-by-15 foot deck collapsed on Tuesday, August 12th, while 12 people were on the deck. The woman was hospitalized with minor injuries. The cause of the deck collapse is under investigation. The homeowner did not comment on how long it had been since the deck was inspected.
